Not Only for the Kids in You!


Tofufu is the wondrous toy gala, also known as the capriciously cosmic duo M & W :) As if it were a curse of love, growing up oceans apart, on their own M+W each had been crazy about toys, gadgets, art and all things strange & wonderful since their early childhood days. Out of this unstoppable force of desire to create and to share, collaboratively they've woven a tangible dream in the simple form of Tofufu in San Francisco Bay Area, good ol' USA, planet earth.


It all started when M began hatching the idea of Tofufu as one of her ultra-secret projects in the winter of '09; soon she lured W over with promise of chocolate & everlasting love (for toys) untold. With W's background in environmental design, fine art, toy-making, and illustration, combining with M's expertise in user interface , illustration, product and interaction design and the duo's dream for a lively earth with minimal carbon print, this once jumping plank for explorations of life's little beauties soon evolved into a colorful vessel where they share their meanings of art and passion.


Together the duo creates toys, paintings, prints, comic strips, sculptures and stories of fantastical creatures, strange aliens, bizarre kaiju (monsters) and clunky robots, not to mention countless other useless thingies and projects they find time to work on. As their mission to share amazing products & beautiful work they adore, Tofufu showcases the duo's own creations along with toys by other artists and designers that they come across in the journey of making this world a simpler, funner and greener place :)

For Our Planet. We Care.

We use 100% post-consumer recycled packaging. We recycle 100% of our paper + plastic waste. Please REUSE & RECYCLE~ Tofufu cares! :)


We have not purchased any new sketch paper for many years now, as there's already more than enough blank backsides from junk mails (which we also try to reduce) that we can happily doodle on. We reuse our shipping boxes and clean packing materials (foam & paper) so no new trees are cut down at our expense. And whatever we cannot reuse, we recycle; what we can't eliminate, we offset on the Carbonfund.org. :)


We're also looking into more eco-smart material choices that are energy- and resource-efficient, recyclable and long lasting for our future projects.
